Opportunities Fund

Annually, the Branch raises funds for its Opportunities Fund through its Used Book Sale and other fundraising initiatives. The  proposed use of the proceeds from any fundraising activity is clearly stated when the project is undertaken. Funds raised in the name of the Branch may be used to provide its annual Higher Education Incentive Awards (College of DuPage scholarships), support mission-based programs, activities, and services of the Branch, or may be donated to national AAUW in support of its activities to advance gender equity for women and girls.

During its first 60 years as an AAUW branch, the Branch endowed two AAUW Fellowships and five Research and Project Grants. In 2010, the Branch established its annual Higher Education Incentives Award, designed to annually provide up to four local high school students with monetary awards to assist with their College of DuPage tuition.
