AAUW is a national organization of college-educated individuals actively committed to the AAUW mission of advancing equity for girls and women through research, education, and advocacy.

The AAUW Wheaton-Glen Ellyn Branch, NFP has been a part of this national organization of local communities since 1956, offering a variety of interesting programs and sponsoring fundraising activities, such as, the annual Used Book Sale.

WHY JOIN THE WHEATON-GLEN ELLYN BRANCH?
The AAUW Wheaton-Glen Ellyn Branch, NFP has adopted the same mission as national AAUW. Our fundraising activities support gender equity through research, education and advocacy. The Wheaton-Glen Ellyn Branch is an Illinois non-profit organization and has been approved by the IRS as a federal tax-exempt organization under IRC 501(c)(3). BRANCH HISTORY
The AAUW Wheaton-Glen Ellyn Branch was founded in 1956 by a dynamic group of women who devoted themselves to the cause of empowering women and girls.  This tradition continues to this day!

Members Making a Difference in Glen Ellyn!

Member Mary Sue Brown is sworn in as a Glen Ellyn Library Board Trustee in 2023. Mary Sue recently served as co-president of the Wheaton-Glen Ellyn Branch.

Member Donna Jean Simon is sworn in as a Glen Ellyn Village Trustee in 2023. Donna Jean is also the Illinois state president of AAUW.
