In 1954, the Foreign Policy Association (FPA) initiated its Great Decisions discussion program. Each January, the FPA publishes the Great Decisions Briefing Book, which offers a pithy analysis (8-12 pages each) of eight of the world’s most critical issues, and provides questions to prepare readers to discuss world affairs.
Due to the overwhelming response for Great Decisions discussions, we have two groups, which meet different days of the week. The in-person group meets on the first Thursday of the month at 1:00 p.m., and the Zoom group meets on the preceding Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. The exception is January, as the books are delivered “sometime” in January and will not arrive in time for a first Tuesday meeting. Details of upcoming meetings are published in Twigs. If you are interested in joining a discussion group, please click here .
The Great Decisions Briefing Book may be ordered at: https://www.fpa.org/great_decisions/?act=gd_materials.
